What is the investment? +
A one time investment of $25,000 (plus applicable taxes), with finance available for approved applicants. There are no ongoing fees: no royalties and no monthly fees to MAC. You don't need to hire employees, and there's no lease or rent because you can work from home.
Is this a franchise? +
No. You pay once at the start, and the business you build is yours. Richard Giannini has spent 30 years in franchising, and with MAC we set out to keep everything good about a good franchise, the proven system, the training and the ongoing support, without the drawbacks. You own your brand, your clients, and 100% of the equity in the business you build. It is a capital asset you can later sell. There are no royalties and no restrictions on how you market, and there is no minimum term. Buy a franchise and you are contracted to pay fees for the length of the agreement, typically five years, whether the business is trading or not, and leaving early is a legal matter rather than a decision. Here there is nothing to keep paying, so there is nothing to walk away from.
Why would I pay $25,000 for this? +
Because the hard part is already done. The big expense in this industry is the team of people who produce the work: designers, developers, marketers. We built that team over 15 years, and your partnership plugs you into it at wholesale rates, along with a marketing kickstart package where we get on your first four prospect calls with you and keep working with you until your first clients land, so instead of building a business you are growing one, and there are no royalties or ongoing fees coming out of what you make.
How do I make money? +
From the services clients purchase from you: AI services, mobile apps, websites, or digital marketing. They buy from you at your retail price; we supply the service at wholesale, at a fixed cost you know before you quote. Many of the services bill monthly, so the same client keeps paying you month after month. You keep 100% of your margin on every job.
How will I get clients? +
You get the 2-a-Week Client System, built on 20 proven strategies. You pick the four to six that suit you, we build a weekly plan for each, and we get on your first four prospect calls and help you close, and we keep working with you until your first clients land. Your marketing kickstart is part of the partnership, and you fund the ad spend behind it. Most partners get their first clients during training.
What stops someone copying this? +
Nothing, in the technology. There is no moat in a website or an app, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. What is defensible is the position you build in your own market. Once a client's website, app and hosting all sit with you, moving is a genuine hassle, which is why the monthly revenue sticks. You are the person the owner knows and calls, not an offshore contractor. And being the first full service provider a business owner meets in your area is worth more than any piece of software. The moat is the position you build. We are a system for building it faster than you would alone.
Who owns the clients, and who carries the risk if a build goes wrong? +
Your clients are yours. Their data is theirs, always. We do the technical work behind you, and our agreements are written so the liability for that work sits with us rather than landing on you personally. That matters more than it sounds: one disputed build or one claim can cost a sole operator more than a year of profit, and someone hiring freelancers carries that exposure on their own name.
If you ever leave, your clients stay with you, because you own those relationships and we do not. What happens to the hosting and the code depends on what the client is paying for. Where a service runs on our platform and our shared code, that stays with us. Where a client has paid for their own custom build, it goes with them. Which one applies is set at the point of sale, so you and your client both know before anything is built.
Couldn't I just do this myself? +
Of course you could. Anyone can do anything if they want it badly enough. The reason people buy this business instead: add up the months of setup before your first client, and one client project gone wrong can burn more than the entire investment. As a MAC partner the production side is already built and paid for, so you're earning while a self-build is still ramping up, with 15 years of systems behind every sale.
Is there training and support? +
Yes, and it is one on one and built around you rather than a classroom with a room full of other people. It also carries on past the training itself, because we get on your first four prospect calls alongside you. Afterward you'll continue to receive coaching and support for the life of your business. We supply your services at wholesale, and we have a vested interest in your success.
What is my territory? +
There are none. You have a worldwide territory. This isn't a location based business like a restaurant; territories would be too restrictive. You can get clients from anywhere.
Do I operate under my own brand? +
Yes. You choose your own business name and we create your brand, logo, and website for you. You have complete freedom in how you present and market your business.
I have no technical knowledge. Is that a problem? +
No. You don't do any technical work. Our team of designers, programmers, and specialists does all of it for you. You focus on talking to business owners and growing your business.
What kind of person does well in this business? +
Someone who wants to be in business for themselves without figuring everything out alone. If you work well independently, are driven, and take responsibility for your results, those are the right ingredients. And the best fit of all is someone who genuinely likes talking to business owners. If you like talking to business owners and helping them get what they want, you'll love this business.
